Danielle Stickman is of Dena’ina and Koyukon Athabascan descent, raised in both rural and urban areas of Alaska. Danielle started beading 21 years ago and has integrated language and story into her artwork in the last six years. She was an artist in residence at the Sheldon Jackson Museum in 2021, an 2024 Artist-In-Residence at Singla Creative Retreat in northern Sápmi (Norway), and selected as the Northern Alaska Environmental Center’s featured artist in 2024. She is a creative advocate, environmental steward, and facilitator based in Dgheyay Kaq’ (Anchorage).
