Princess 'Daazhraii' Johnson (Neets'aii Gwich'in) is a writer/actor/producer/director living on Lower Tanana Dene lands in Alaska.
She is an Emmy-nominated screenwriter and producer of Peabody Award-winning PBS Kids show "Molly of Denali" and season 4 of HBO series 'True Detective'. She has produced over 80 stories for the series and continues to write for the show. Her short Gwich'in language film, "Diiyeghan Naii Taii Tr'eedaa", was named one of the festivals 'Brightest Stars' of the 2022 ImagineNative Film Festival. Her shorts focused on Yukon River salmon continue to screen at festivals worldwide raising awareness of the salmon crisis impacting Alaska Native communities along the Yukon. She is currently in development for her first feature film.
She sits on the boards of NDN Collective and Native Movement and continues to work on climate and social justice issues on a local and international level.
