I am Alaskan native through my mom’s side. My grandma was Vickie Era and she was fairly well known throughout the artistic community. She wove baskets and passed traditions down to my mom and aunt, and now me and my siblings.

I live in Los Angeles, CA. We have a small group of Sugpiaq people who gather every few months in our home to practice song, dance and talk about our pasts and how we are all connected.
