Uvaŋa Patkutaq. Iñupiaguruŋa. Utqiaġvigni aniŋaruaŋa aglaan, Nautaaġmi iñuuruŋa paŋmapak. I am Patkotak. I am Iñupiaq. I was born in Utqiaġvik, AK, however I am now living in Noatak, AK nowadays. I am an artist of many talents. I am most well known for my work with drum making, and animal skin/gut work. I also carve ivory, musk ox horn, mastodon/mammoth ivory, and baleen. I also do wood carving as well. Together my wife and I, do skin work as well. I like to prep fish skins for my wife to bead; for our beaded fish earrings. I am an avid Iñupiaq language bearer, and continue to strive to pass our language on to the next generation. Traditional song and dance runs deep in my veins, and I hold many songs from across Inuit Nunaat. “isaiah.mckenzie.im@gmail.com” is my current email for any inquiries or questions feel free to reach out!
