Levi is a Lingít artist and language teacher residing in Juneau, Alaska. His Lingít name is Gush Tlein, which translates to "big dorsal fin of the killerwhale". He belongs to the Naanya.aayi clan, Xʼátgu Hít, from the Stikine River area.
As a teen, he learned the traditional style of Ravenstail weaving from Kay Parker and Vicki Soboleff. Levi continues to practice Ravenstail today with the help of many weaving artists and friends.
