Adrienne Fleek
Adrienne Fleek, Kaalootwurioo, is a beading artist from SE Alaska residing in Cooper Landing, AK. She is always excited to share her beading/fur sewing passion! Born in Juneau, Alaska she spent her formative years in the quiet communities of Yakutat and King Salmon, AK. Her parents taught her to appreciate and utilize what the landscape had to share. Her mother strapped her to her back when she was a baby and carried her along on her trap lines. Her father took her fishing for silver salmon (coho-L'ook in Tlingit) every August. Her family continues to rely upon and appreciate the abundance of wildlife around us. Her career with the National Park Service, Environmental Protection Agency, and First Alaskans Institute, all focused on conserving the special places in Alaska to make sure these opportunities and lifestyle would be available for the next 7 generations.
